A self-made and immensely successful older man, Dev Raichand, falls in love with a much younger girl, Vidhi,  from a middle class family. Their worlds could not be more different from each other, and yet at heart they are very similar people. Their journey has immense challenges to overcome — from their age gap, to the class difference, and the societal judgements faced by them. But will their romance survive all the obstacles that they find themselves facing?

Many aspects are different in Season 2; the locale is the Kutch region of Gujarat, equally colourful as the earlier setting of Rajasthan. And the characters have evolved with the times. This time around, ‘navi’ Anandi’s parents realize their mistake and decide not to send her daughter to her sasuraal at a young age. This stand incurs the wrath of the possessive and controlling bridegroom’s father, leading him to a desperate measure of kidnapping his daughter-in-law.
